September Coaches of the Month: Tim Bender and Lindsay Pinion

From the excitement of learning a new skill to the joy of sharing snacks after a game, youth soccer is full of moments that bring players and families together. For All-In FC’s September Rec Program Coaches of the Month, Tim Bender and Lindsay Pinion, those moments are what make coaching so rewarding.

This month, we’re celebrating two coaches who share a love of soccer and a commitment to helping young players enjoy their time on the field.

Tim Bender: Finding joy in the game

Tim coaches the U7 and U9 Bulls and has nine seasons of coaching experience. Originally from Duluth, Georgia, he began playing soccer at four years old. His background includes travel teams, high school soccer, and several years as a referee—and he still plays today.

He started coaching when his children became old enough to play. His two sons, Thomas and Jacob, are at the heart of why he coaches at All-In FC, along with any other child willing to listen and learn.

“This is awesome, I am humbled,” Tim said of the recognition.

Choosing a single favorite coaching memory is difficult for Tim. Every season brings a new moment that reminds him why he enjoys it. But one scene keeps repeating: the game ends, the kids come off the field, and everyone gets excited about snacks. Whatever the score, that happiness is the same.

“The sheer joy and complete disregard of anything else that happened in the previous hour is enviable and aspirational all at the same time,” he said.

It’s a warm reminder of how much the simple moments can mean to young players.

Away from coaching, Tim is Director of Operations at Remington Medical. His favorite athlete is Pelé, his favorite restaurant is Rico’s World Kitchen, and his favorite movie/TV pick is Warrior.

Lindsay Pinion: Building skills and confidence

Lindsay leads the U6G Buford Lady Howlers and is in her eighth season coaching. She grew up in Snellville, Georgia, and played club soccer through eighth grade. Although she later took a different athletic path, her love for soccer remained. Coaching gave her a way to reconnect with that passion.

For Lindsay, player development means building technical skills, strong character, and lasting confidence. Her favorite moments come when players successfully use something in a game that they worked on during practice—and begin to believe in themselves.

“Honestly, the real credit goes to all of the players,” she said. “Watching their hard work, seeing them execute what we practice, and watching their confidence grow on the field is the most rewarding part.”

As a parent and coach, Lindsay also loves seeing her own children fall in love with the sport. She and her family value the supportive environment and friendships they have found at All-In FC.

“Thank you to the amazing parents and the entire All-In FC community for making this such a supportive environment,” she said. “I love being a part of this club, and I’m so proud to coach these kids every week!”

Lindsay is a Physician Assistant. Away from the field, she enjoys spending time with her husband and family, cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs, watching college football or soccer, and being outdoors. Her favorite restaurant is Off the Rails.

Thank you, Coach Tim and Coach Lindsay
